It is sooooo cold today Mum. but the sun is out and we are looking forward to you coming home!

Christine saved Jade while you were away. She administered First Aid, as she was trained to do way back when. We didn't hear her mutter under her breath that its the only live plant you own and for gosh sakes woman why would you make this living breathing plant suffer so. Jade was happy for the extra love and attention she received. :)


(Mia) Hi Mum. I am having a fun time playing with our toys,


and maybe a bit too much fun with the cat nip.. .brouhaha. OOH i feel a bit dizzy now.




(Toby) Hey Mum. Whazzup? Cat burglar was here again. Yup. Flipped over the chair when no one was looking. Tried to stop him. He didn't care, flipped the chair AND the picture on the windowsill. Jade tried to stop him too, but she couldn't.

and whatever SHE says... nope, not us. no way. Here is a small note from Christine:

Dear Patti-oh. tonight i went to spend time with furball one and furball two. when i walked in, everything seemed calm and normal,



except for the fact that Toby was sitting nonchalantly in the living room, lah dee dah




and Mia still as a statue...


Hmmm i said to myself.. something is amiss here.
go into the kitchen, and lo and behold i see....
the first clue, a placemat on the floor.
upon further investigation, i found the following!!!


here is some Evidence ------>>>

1. cat litter freshener lid ... taken right off
2. 3 laundry room cupboards... opened
3. calculator in office... played with and thrown on the floor
4. guest bedroom garbage can tipped over
5. master bedroom bathroom door ... left wide open
6. master bedroom garbage can and heat pack... tipped over and left for someone else to pick up
7. kitchen table has been sat on, placemats askew and one was on the floor
8. front hall closet door left open!

i do not for a moment believe that your dear friend and neighbour, Barbara turned your house upside down. MIA and Toby both swear that they were as good as gold today, but something, something is not right here. Those two little rascals look so innocent and swear up and down" not me not me!" then they snuggle right up to me and purr and roll around and ask for chin scritches and back rubs.. oh they wore me down...whispering in my ear that perhaps it was a 'CAT BURGLAR'...
I took the bait, hook line and sinker. those two are so innocent, there is NO WAY that they were involved at all.
i made sure the house was righted and left a note for no more cat burglars to mess up the house!
all is well now :)

Post #6 ~ Is this Icing on the Cake?

Hi mum

it's me, Mia
well Toby has gone and done it. he has lost all inhibitions and is really being quite friendly and loving and trusting with christine. does it have anything to do with the fact that she feeds us and brings us cat nip and plays with us? i think so.

i remain as always your calm loving and socialable kitty kat.

i saw toby head butting her, and he let her rub his belly,

and he let her give him scritches under his chin and his head was rolling around for more chin rubs. and he was all mushy and lovey on your bed with her. purring and everything. i didnt go in there... it was too weird.



he watched her leave from your bedroom window.

it was kind of a fun day. we watched the snow fall. ya. snow. flake afte flake we watched. it was all white. it was quiet.

it snowed all day long. didnt stop once. but its not that cold so the roads are kinda wet and slushy, christine said.
it will be a white as icing sugar winter wonderland tomorrow.

as long as we are safe, sound and dry, we dont care if its snowy or not.

well mum it is bed time and toby and i are tired. christine told us why you arent leaving any comments.... tell those cuban resorts to get better computers.

Post # 5 ~ YOU ARE MY HUMAN. I AM YOUR CAT.

Yo Maw

this is toby.

today the sun was shining and then the clouds came. the birds and the squirrels looked cold and not too much snow was melting in the back yard. we still cant see over the snow banks to look at the cars driving past.

christine says that anyone could park in our driveway for a whole month and no one would see the car because it is so well hidden by the snow.



at least it hasn't snowed one flake since you've been away.
but we hear from the birds that snow is coming tomorrow. mia and i are glad you arent here so that we dont have to listen to your misery and swearing .

i came right up to christine tonight when we heard her come in the door to feed us. she had this long flowing soft black coat and she draped it on a chair in the dining room

and every chance mia and i had, we cuddled on it, kneaded our kitty bread on it and scootched ourselves under it.. it was sooooo cat like and decadent and soft and we smelled 3 other kitties on it.

Christine came with a huge fresh bag of that green catnip stuff... omg it smelled so good. she put it on some of our toys and we went crazy bananas!

and just because i like her so much now, i made a big mess with my dinner and really got the floor good and wet with my water bowl.. mia likes her too and she just purrs and purrs and hangs out with her while she takes my picture..



Wonderfully photogenic moi! see? aren't i so handsome?

well mum it is time for a cat nap.. mia says she loves you and we both miss you and we are fine!! we get food and cuddles and treats and fresh water and both barb and christine are making sure we are ok. nothing compares to our mum but this will have to do while you get a good dose of vitamin d.

this is mia
toby is ok. he is not mad at you. he made friends with Christine today. he always forgets just how nice she really is. he came right up to her when she walked in after work today. he was a bit skittish at first but he came to eat, smelled that yummy fresh catnip that she carries with her and even tried to take it away.
he let her pet him, and rub his nose, under his chin and his cheeks, he got a nice rub from her and i know that from now on he'll be fine. she even left him a treat on your bedroom window sill last night and today it was gone. he watched her clean out our cat litter from the doorway.

Post #3 ~ Sunday Surprise

Dear mum

it's me toby.

its sunday february 15th and here we are, staring at this monitor, thinking maybe you'll be home soon.

this crazy cat lady came over today. brought with her some pretty awesome 'sh*t'.
green and leafy. (click on the picture above to see the 'big' picture)
mia loved it. she sucked right up to that crazy cat lady.
rolled around and acted like a fool. belly up, eyes rolling around in her head. all kinds of stuff like that.
gurlz are stupid.

not me ,man.
i skulked behind every bit of furniture while mia and that crazy cat lady played with the toys.. my toys! i snuck closer and closer.
crazy cat lady didnt even see me getting closer and closer to them.
i had to be close by to save mia, if that crazy cat lady got too CRAZY with her.

i dont want them to have TOO much fun (without me).

she finally did leave, after 2 whole hours. i didnt let her touch me but only twice i let her touch me before running away and hiding.
. ( hey.. she wasnt that bad, and i kinda remember her smell but dont tell her i said that. )

and she gave us treats and fed us our meat and cleaned up the water mess i'd left and she even cleaned out all the turds we'd left behind in our sand box..



we watched her leave, mia and me, with this big orangy yellow football kind of thing that you left on the counter.

crazy cat lady thinks its warm enough to play football outside???

ya its sunny today but still looks phrikkin cold out. even the birds have goose bumps!

phew. what a day.

Shazzy up the road got flowers.
some cats are allowed on the table.

some cats have humans who dont fly away to cuba and leave them to fend for themselves!

some cats have big foot stools to fight on.

With their brothers.
